Resources for Accessing Care

Below are resources that may be helpful when trying to access abortion care.

  • Clinic Locators

  • Abortion funds and Practical Support Organizations

    • National Abortion Federation: The National Abortion Hotline is the largest national, toll-free, multi-lingual Hotline for abortion provider information and financial assistance in the U.S. and Canada.

    • National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF): a network of nearly 100 abortion funds. You can search for abortion funds that cover your area or the area of your appointment.

    • Chicago Abortion Fund: an abortion fund that provides financial and logistical support for people from the midwest or receiving their care in the Midwest including residents of Illinois, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Arkansas and Iowa or anyone traveling to Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa & Nebraska for care.

      • The Chicago Abortion Fund also has a program, CARLA, specifically to support people seeking care in hospitals. CARLA is NOT restricted to the Midwest.

  • Practical Support Organizations

    • Brigid Alliance: a practical support organization that provides support for later abortion care (15 weeks and up). Ask your clinic to refer you to them.

    • Midwest Access Coalition: An abortion fund that also provides logistical and travel support to, from, and within the Midwest.

    • ARC Southeast: An abortion fund that also provides logistical and travel support to people who live in the Southeast.

    • Elevated Access: An organization that connects people traveling for abortion care with vetted volunteer pilots free-of-charge. Best for people who live in rural communities, or people who may not feel safe traveling on commercial airlines.
